I am a princess, not yet a queen.
Many mistakes are made but I am
learning to carry them.
I carry the wrongdoings of rulers
before me and the pain of my brothers
and sisters.

I am the uncollided atoms bringing the
birth of a new universe.
My stomach overflows with not yet created star dust.
I am the water you drink,
the air you breathe,
the flames you see and the earth you feel.

I am the tongue that tastes the languages of this world.
I taste the words of my people,
swallowing them whole and spitting them out
in their rawness.
I am the whispers and sighs of the tired,
the weak and the broken.
I am their voice.

I am the purest form of cocoa,
combined with the sweetest drops of honey.
I am single drop of the most bitter molasses.
I am the makings of a strong, strong woman.
I am.
