On this dim lit day of clouds with hues of gray My Heart sank, and tears ran down my face I felt nothing and everything at once and knew not what to say While in my Heart a cautious ember glowed My Mind was wracked and ravaged by what it had been showed A whisper of a hope as flame became rekindled The Mind had shown the Heart the truth, And the Heart’s knew found hope had dwindled The Mind grew wild and angry, the Heart grew cold and hard As one they stood and faced Life, as it dealt it’s woeful card They spurned Life’s miserable gesture and turned their backs away Fading into silence they made a solemn silent vow Never again would they fall victim, to what happened on this day.
