Canoe Race 101

We dug deep, we pushed hard Through the wind and the waves. We battled our way up to that stage. The hardware it seemed Meant nothing at all, When I looked in your eyes and saw what I saw. The smile that you gave me The hug that came next Made me forget the pain in my pecks.
