Let Go and Fall in Love

We fill our lives with hopes and dreams To hide our faint and strangled screams. Afraid to fall, so don't let go. You'll never know what waits below. "Is it worth the risk?" asks the wary. "If I should stumble, will I be carried?" And all our lives we ask these questions, Afraid of such a blunt suggestion: To fall in love invokes a risk Inherent in the lovers' kiss. You say that love precedes the tears And you can't quell your petty fears. Your heart is torn to ragged pieces And your fear of love slowly increases. Afraid you'll only be let down You give up on love, lay down your crown. But don't stop now, for when she's here Forget your pain and dry your tears. If you give your heart to none You'll lose your chance to find The One.
