When the pressures of life
come down on me,
and I don't know where they will end,
I think of you.
You give me hope.
You taught me to find a way, my friend.

You use pleasure
to erase my pain.
Desires to allay my fears.
You showed me
how to love again.
And that I'm worth holding near.

You showed me
that I must live on.
That love and hope, they still endure.
And though you send
me off to live,
you are the one my heart is for.
