There is a place I like to go
at times I am feeling down.
A place where I can be at peace,
knowing I will not be found.

I found this place when I was young,
one time I hurt so bad.
Surprised I was to find a place,
that was as nice as I was sad.

I had spent so many afternoons
alone and feeling rotten.
But here, I found a world renewed
and cares were soon forgotten.

Ever since I've kept my place
a secret no one knows.
Worried I would lose my world
If I ever did expose.

But, I would like to tell you,
you're hurt, and I can see.
What you need is time, a place like mine,
so, I'm giving you the only key.

My place has done so much for me.
Every trial I've come through.
And if you come, with just some hope
then it can be a world for you.
