I Give You Everything Because You Asked for None of It

All my life I have been told,                                                   "That is not enough." I know this life is hard, but I have to call their bluff. I gave all I can give, yet they refuse to give their trust. All my efforts in the dirt, beneath your heels were                                                   crushed. Now you come and say to me you only want                                                   my love. You taught me how to smile, but now all you want is love. I'll give you all the world, all the clouds and stars above. But you'll say to me,                                                    "My dear, just your love is quite enough."
