May 2016
I put my headphones in,
Close my eyes and let the beat of
my rock music flow through me.
I get a nostalgic feeling and I think
back to the days when things
were more simpler than now.
People were once happy and didn't
give a care in the world.
I, like a lot of people, am
torn between nostalgia,
for the familiar
and an urge for the foreign and strange.
As often as not, we are homesick
for the places we have never known
