Oh, my life
all I am and all I ever will be
the blood that flows through my veins
in all its eternal flow
like some scarlet river
and the fibers of my being
as they ever strain
matching their strength
against the fate that rules the world.
Oh, all that I am
I give in my love for you
and this heart and soul
I give till the day I die
for to me you are all.
You are the stars
that shine in the black vault of heaven
and all the body and soul
of mother earth that lives beneath my feet.
And oh, how I love you so
You are like an eternal ghost
that lives within my heart,
and a love song that ever haunts my mind.
And that song I shall ever hear
as it plays till the end of time.
Oh, you are a love song
all full of mystery.
And I ever wonder
do you really love me
or shall I die
as from a knife's icy cold steel
****** into my soul
from the depths of your icy cold heart.
And oh, how I hope for your love
as I rest upon the knife's edge
of your indecision
as it cuts and slashes my flesh
far down into the bone.
Oh, my love for you
shall outlast the life of the sun
till the light that it gives
flickers and fails
and the earth sleeps in eternal night
and yet my love for you shall live on and on
far into that eternal night
till forever shall be no more
but my love shall still remain.
