Just Like That
The last I heard
she was headed across
the desert
to a waiting job and
new found friends.
She stopped calling
when I suggested
she came back home.
Turns out she was
lost with
no real friends and
a monkey on her back.
Alone the way she
wanted it to be.
Dancing under the
neon lights
for the lonely men.
Somewhere in the
City of Sin.
