Anguish

by philip-shepherd

Anguish You contact me to fill your void, but now I'm falling overboard. Your words penetrate my being, I'm nether here nor there nor seeing. I can't hold or grasp onto anything, as my mind and body aren't in sync. This all consuming anguish I'm feeling, is controlling how I'm breathing. Short shallow breaths I consume, are paralysing me to death. My mind and body are inside out, so I try to reach out... unable to shout! But I'm frightened I'll fall once again for you and catch me not , like you do. So into obscurity I would pass, leaving life behind me.... as I rest.
