try picturing a bird in a forest. stuck on a branch of a tree, unable to move on its own, unable to go forward into its journey, unable to venture out on its own adventure. why, you ask? because a part of it is broken, a part of it is holding the bird back, a part of it made the bird unwilling to step back out on its two little feet, a part of it thought nothing will ever change. I pass by numerous crowds everyday and see people being plastered with fake smiles and phony laughter. that’s when I realized, we all have broken wings trying to hide the pain and sadness inside of us because we are scared to show it, too scared we wont dare to take a risk and fix it. but life is full of risks, right? a risk to get hurt, yet a risk to be healed. so then maybe, the world is telling you that before you can fly, before you can be able soar through the clouds and feel the wind brushing through your whole body, that you need to know how it feels like after using your own legs to walk throughout a very long journey. maybe the world wanted u to know how it feels like to get yourself wet after swimming through the oceans to reach your destination. maybe the world wanted you to know how it feels like to get dirt underneath your fingertips after digging and crawling on the ground. maybe the world wanted you to know better. just because your wings are broken, it doesn’t mean you are too. we all have broken wings and yes, they may hold you back.. but only if you let them just because some parts of you are broken, it doesn’t mean you cant overcome every obstacle the world throws at you so when you do fly, never be afraid to look down watch as you let all your fears and doubts crash onto the ground. and the once vulnerable small bird finally learned how to soar into the sky on its own.
