Courage

~ COURAGE ~ With you, There was no masquerade, Armor was never worn, The walls that defended me, Soon looked tattered and torn. Surrendering my heart, I trusted, Exposing my soul, I believed, Our connection was effortless, Nothing preconceived. Our laughter was magical, An unrehearsed kindness, Comforting and carefree, Neither of us were spineless. Our bond grew quickly, Casting no fear, Supporting each other, Our love became clear. In the flash of one evenings decision, A wreckage took place, We were damaged by the collision, Such a sad disgrace. With each passing day, Filled with despair, An emotional roller coaster, I could no longer bare. It was much more than COURAGE, It was also PRIDE, Peaceful and understanding, I stepped aside. Experience life, Search for different directions, Find yourself in places that are new. Have the COURAGE to find happiness in Everything that you do.
