Bittersweet
Lend whisper... Freedom!
See how she lies.
Her militant thighs
Smeared in honourable discharge
Nearly rotten to the core.
Lend ear! A Kingdom!
Tales of bread rich as flesh
Wines, bled fresh
From vineyards built upon stars
Which the feeble engorge.
