In my dream you came to me
You said your flame has not died
I couldn't believe it, you see
I no longer had to hide mine

In my dream you held me
And I was stranded in your eyes
A tiny boat lost at sea
An emerald paradise

In my dream I was free
To say all the words I can't in real life
You saw my flame and all the debris
I had locked away in my mind

In my dream, love, you came to me
And told me I don't have to hide
But now I've woken, friend, I'm not free
So I pretend my flame has died
