You were so beautiful
You looked so much like
the stars mustering in the distance.

Stars—
for you stayed,
but I knew you will be gone soon.

I was so eager to walk on cold streets alone
I didn't realize it was safer with you there.

And I was right—
you were slowly fading;
still like the stars in expected stormy nights
and I was longing for you.

But I'm back in solitude.
