Before yesterday I was scattered with
so many seeds flowing and
planting thoughts in my mind;
I had to sit down and take time
to define where each one
needed to reside, to exist
amongst its own kind

But, for now, today, I am collected
all my thoughts are gathered up
in their neat, pretty rows
waiting for me to pull one out
and toss it about,
and see what can come
when it's let out to shout

Perhaps, later tomorrow I will find
myself again struggling along,
with doubt, with ideas strewn all about
spreading their fancy roots, so fast,
that there is no time to reap
the rewards of their caste

But, I know, no matter what time
there is for me, close to hand;
I shall persist and I will take a stand;
making sure my days are planned.
So that my contemplations
will have their chance to expand.
