he made a mess with pink cotton candy,
she never did like anything sweet;
he made a mess, he sang her songs,
while she always seemed to miss a beat.

she made a mess with blue cotton candy,
he'd always prefer the pink;
she made a mess, she wrote him letters,
while all he did was wash off the ink.
