While I am resting and staring at a tv screen,
my unborn baby is growing inside of me.
She wiggles & kicks to let me know she's there,
but although I feel it my attentions are elsewhere.

This is not right to ignore real life for technology,
But I fear this is something to which we all are guilty.

And in doing so, we will miss the most precious of life's gifts,
Those magical moments that are there to be not watched but lived.

Because if they are missed, you will not see
& will in time be blind to that type of beauty.
Then you will only ever know life through a screen,
Not living it, just watching it with your smart phone technology.

So don't be a fool and let yourself technologically drown,
Connect to the real world and put your gadgets down.
We are becoming a world that is slave to technology.
