Notes flow through wind,
pleasant and slow.
Ears ring with sound,
Pleasant and bright.

Knife pierces the heart,
An emotional blow.
Rivers down my face,
Beautiful pain.

Play that sweet sound again,
Feel the burn.
Memories simmer between my lungs,
Distant yet close.

Melody flows through me,
Pulsing with joy.
Pounding into my soul,
Love and hate.
Glee and sorrow.
Bright future and no tomorrow.
Sound and silence.
