I long to walk away from the stress of human ways
To sleep beneath the stars and just watch mother earth have her way
I long to sink my fingers and toes into her sand
And feel the beat of her heart as she whispers in my hand
Blessing me with slight breezes that caress my face
Little droplets of water that plant kisses all over me enveloping me in a warm embrace
I long to get lost in the beauty of her soul
Listening to her history and stories untold
I long for the freedom of feeling whole
where she takes me and cradles me as if to console
I long to go back from whence I once came
Her love and adoration is always proclaimed
I am born of her beauty and created from her heart
Gifted with exquisiteness that only she imparts
I yearn for her peace and steadfast strength
To see to her children whom she has not condemned
She is mine, my very heart and soul
She is my earth, my mother, my being made whole.
