I thought I knew
How the life should be
I thought I knew
Where it's leading me

The way you looked at me
The way you changed me
Made my mind go free
And just because I met you
All the things I knew
Started to look as new

I thought I knew
That love is pain
I thought I knew
That there is no gain

The way you looked at me
The way you changed me
Made my heart shout in glee
I don't need to get too smart
To realize that it might tear me apart
But I love that pure feeling in my heart

I thought I knew
That solitude is inevitable
I thought I knew
That it is highly veritable

The way you took me
The way you shook me
Now I'll never get free
This long and deep trance
Will never give me a chance
To be alone on my own dance

Now I know
How stupid I was
Now I know
How to win in draws
Now I know
What was the cause
Which led me in all these flaws

Denial that love is real
Denial that love can heal
Denial that heart can feel

Thank you for showing me
How the life can be

Thank you for loving me
As I was meant to be
