Dec 2011
He’ll come to pick her up,
To go out on their date.
You’ll warn him to keep her safe,
And not to have her home too late.

He’ll smile and shake your hand.
Then they’ll be off for the night.
You’ll wait up for her,
Watching the clock, sitting by the light.

She’ll rush in, smile upon her face.
Telling you about her great time.
And you’ll gladly listen,
Thinking that for one more night, “She’s mine.”

But later on down the road,
She’ll come to you, saying he’s the man of her life.
And he’ll someday ask you,
For your permission to make her his wife.

In her beautiful, white dress,
You’ll walk her down the aisle,
Kissing her cheek, you’ll give her away,
To the man who’ll forever make her smile.
I didn't know what to title this. I'm open to suggestions.
