The End, Seemingly So Dear

I don't want to be

Frail & confused.

Laying in a hospital bed,

Just waiting for it all to end,

Knowing there are greater things,

Waiting for me.

I just don't want to be,

Another elderly patient to

Poke & feed.

I don't want to be laying there

In my head,

Wishing for the end.

I don't want my

Loved ones to see me like that,

All small & broken.
