Feb 2016
you're the frost-bitten flower
blown by Winter's bitter breath
cascaded from its home
with nothing to possess
now the Night is all you have
so wear it upon your feet
don't settle down
and the waves in your mind
will calm themselves

the whisper of Hope is calling out
to your lonely soul
but you leave yourself to wander back
why do you call Nostalgia home?
now the Night is all you have but
the Darkness with descend with Time
and the Life from the Light
will fill your eyes

but you say that Time's Tide will
smother you to the ground
afraid of your surface
you hide from the crowd
and the Misery within you is more
than you can hold
and the Agony you're holding is more
than you will ever know

for how long will you wander
with the greys combined?
for how long will you wander
in that state of mind?

the Hopefulness you're lacking
is seen upon your face
your Lifelessness is slacking
your presence is without grace
the Night was all you had
you saw the path await
but settled down
now it's the Blackened Smoke
that fills your mind
