Sometimes I long for the days when we made music
It was not just heard, but seen and it was great
I guess that as time heals what can be broken
It can also expose cracks in foundations never made

We never lived in times where we were present
'Cause the next day and month and year won't forsake
I guess we never noticed we stopped recording
Reciting old songs to audiences that were in wait

We dreamt up castles for the future
We lived by streams where water quenched our souls
I guess as times brought droughts we never noticed
The music silenced waterfalls of thunder as we broke

But I don't regret the songs that we made perfect
The cascading rumble of our dancing dreams in wake
I guess the pressure of albums never written
Doesn't make me forget the music that we made
