I was but a speed bump in your road of life.
Dorothy followed the yellow brick road,
You followed that path with a heavy load.
Burdened by bleak tales from the past.
I tried to follow the same path with you,
I wasn’t the tin man so i had to say adieu.
I had a heart the size of a watermelon,
And for you, it continually beats in random.
I was happy to follow you slowly in tandem,
Even if it was for a while.
I wish you all the best with your new sweetheart,
And hope that both of you never grow apart.
