I
have locked you away safely.
Once my head hits the pillow I close
my eyes to see your face. Lines
come together as an artists hand
flies across his sketch. Starting with
your eyes, down your cheeks and the
nape of your neck. But last are your
lips which I manipulate into my own
fantasy. I get a chance to hear all the
things I secretly wish for in the depth
of my heart. I fall into slumber and
awake to you. You are ever present there.
