Let's Pretend
It's as if you still sit next to me
Truth be told the air's kind of eerie
Walk away from past right away
Just got to dream I'll stay
Let's pretend we're next to each other
Let's pretend we still love one another
Let us go play in the rain
And forget about our love being slain
It's the story of my life
Being the one who lost his wife
The day was bright and sunny
I said I love you honey
And as you ventured into the sky
The flame burnt out in my eye
We were a half written book
With something to find but nowhere to look
I will search for that treasure
For you honey it'll be my pleasure
Into your arms I wanna go
But I am aware I can't, no!
Let's pretend were next to each other
Let's pretend we still love one another
Let us go play in the rain
And forget about our love being slain
No, I'll never be the same
But I'm always gonna remember your name
You asked one time where you rank
Number one to be quite
frank
Let's pretend were next to each other
Let's pretend we still love another
Let us go play in the rain
And forget about our love being slain
