So there it is: we spoke too soon.
There really is a watery moon.
The seas of course are long since dead,
Caused by lava, impact meteors instead
Of romantic lagoons in Earthlight.
Then again, there’s a chance there might
Be plenty of water just below. A fountain though
Might never fall back down. As for snow –
Moonskiing not a prospect, I fear.
Snow in that sunshine would disappear.
