One thing of the most important things I've learned
is that you can't force yourself to love someone for whom you don't yearn.
You'll meet strangers so vibrant that everyone else fades away;
like your favorite grey t shirt when you wore it everyday.

You'll meet people who feel right- like two plus two-
But that doesn't mean they are right for you.

I met a boy who was the same as me
Young, crazy, and uncontrollably free.
He made me happier than rolling sea
So it broke my heart when we weren't meant to be.

You'll meet people who feel right- like two plus two-
But that doesn't mean they are right for you.

I knew a boy who smelled like spring
He made the snow melt when he started to sing.
But sometimes people don't know how to treat right
And it causes them to push others far out of their sight.

You'll meet people who feel right- like two plus two-
But that doesn't mean they are right for you.

I thought I learned the first three times
That loving only leaves scarring war crimes.
You'll meet people who color your world
Brighter than a hundred paints that have been swirled.

But that doesn't mean they are right for you.
