Mary was
screaming.

"*******.
You did it now.
Anymore *******
and I'll  **** you!"

She was
half awake,
half asleep,
caught in
the unending
torment
of an
endless
lucid
dream;
shadow
boxing
with a
posse of
agitated
phantoms.

Sad
how the
demons of
Mary's
waking
life
know
where she
lives
and make
nightly
house calls
to the
homeless
shelter.
