Bus Station
Bus Station
In the rainy white morning of
Sobered frustration
I placed my heart in the hands
Of an ex
Saying "I Love You" to
Hear No-Reply too
Deeper and clearer becomes
All the stress
As a walk becomes farther
The past beckons closer
To rinse and repeat
Ghosts of yesterday
Each step forward
Opens memories toward
The light long longed for
In so many ways
No direction I wander
So selfish I wonder
How real was the magic
Or all just for show?
The moments, the rarity
So closely to clarity
Feel you're in love but you
Never know
As the bus station sighs
Silence in their eyes
The truth drives away in all its
Shifting gears
After all said and done
When you loved someone
Be present, be now
Untrapped in the years
