I want to tell you all of my greatest stories.
So you think I'm something worth something.
But I'd like to be that top shelf item you reach for,
See the price tag
(For items do not know their own worth.)
And say,
"This one is good.
         Yes, this one will suit me best."
And then you'd take me home and put me on your lonely mantle
And at night, I'd watch you drown yourself in bottles of courage
And warm your bones by the fire I now rest above.
How love looks from afar.
Then I'd whisper,
"Hey it's not just the flames. I told you you still had your glow."
