We walked a path unbeaten
We followed our hearts not our minds
When the night darkness deepened
It was our comfort we relied
We doubted people would miss us
Or even try to find
Where we had ran off to
Where we built another life
I told you I didn’t want to be there
I told you we should leave
You asked me “to where”
And I replied the sea

Not a day goes by
That I do not see
How much you miss
Where we used to be
And still here you are, right by my side
And even though you cannot see
This is something I cannot hide
My love for you will never flee
This I cannot deny

One day when we are older
And our lives are coming to an end
We can return to the place, now colder
To see your family and friends
