Sing Me a Song
The sound of her voice
is music to my ears.
The sweet sound of innocence,
I'll forever want to hear.
"Mama, just hold me,
and sing me a song."
So I serenade her softly
while she hums along.
I will hold on tightly
to moments like this,
and the memories created
I will genuinely cherish.
For I know that one day
I'll look back in my mind
and wish for a moment
I could go back in time.
