Oh, my love of you
has driven me to distraction.
Oh, my heart runs after you
like a frightened deer
afraid that I may lose you
and all my hope would be lost
and I would be forced to wander
through this life
in forlorn dejection.
Oh, all the life I live
is through my love for you.
Oh, how every heart beat is sacred to me
and my every thought of my love for you
moves me to tears
and I am held captive
by every word that falls from your lips
by your words I live
and by your words I die.
Do you love me? Yes.
Do you love me? No.
And oh how the slightest touch of your skin
is so precious to me
like silken gold.
And oh how I love you!
that shall be upon my lips
through all the passing of time and eternity.
Oh, to hold you in my arms
and tell you of all my deep love for you
that is my heaven!
Oh, lay with me my love
and let us pass all the days of eternity
as a sweet dream of love
as I am enraptured
by the sound of your sweet breath
as you sleep within my arms.
Oh, and when you call my name
it is as though I am stabbed by happiness
that penetrates to the very center of my soul.
and how my heart drowns
in sweet dreams and memories of you
and my soul is left naked and exposed
before your discerning heart.
Oh, am I worthy of your love
or no?
Oh, have mercy upon me my love
and upon this poor heart
that holds you so dear.
for I know my love of you shall last
through all the days of eternity
as the sun rises and sets
in its endless cycles
till the day it sets in that far off future
to rise again no more
and then for all the endless days of future still.
