Started out like any other night
Picked her up and drove by the directions of the moon. We turned down that old deserted road between highway 9 and state road 5.
Nothing behind us but darkness and dirt
not looking back
She said do you know where we are going
He said no
but I got this
just sit back
They stopped in an old corn field long plowed and forgotten
He looked at her and she looked at him
Lost in distraction
She asked have you ever done this before He said no but I got this
as he took control.
As the car spun out he looks at her and grabs her hand
said I got you
She began to cry as her baby boy slowly raises his head to a brand new world
The pastor looks at him are you ready for this.
no but I got this.
They slowly pull into a house an old beat up fixer upper.
His son ask dad can we do this.
We got this son looking back
on that
first kiss
Ready for anything but expecting the worst.
Deep down I know I had this.
First impressions are everything fear was never to blame when I stumbled and fell she said I got you
When you got a family you have each other no matter what happens deep down you know you got this.
