Where did you come from, who are you?
Where do you live, what do you do?
Did we share a bottle, did we share a drink?
Did we discuss what each of us think?
But you're lying next to me all the same,
I just wish I could remember your name.

How did you get here, did you drive your car?
Or did we meet in that corner bar?
Did I walk you home, did I hold the door?
Did you find me interesting or another bore?
But you're lying next to me all the same,
I just wish I could remember your name.

How did you get here in my life?
Are you single, or someone's wife?
But your lying next to me all the same,
I just wish I knew your name.

You look so lovely lying on the sheet,
So close I can almost feel your heart beat.
How could you have wound up here with me?
It almost seems too good to be.
But you're lying there all the same,
I just wish I knew your name.
A failed song attempt from the 90's...hence the odd form, seems quite a few people can relate to this one though...:)
