Oh, what power you have over me!
Oh, my love of you
is in every fiber of my being.
Oh, to hold you and kiss you
and tell you of all the love I have for you.
Oh, I dream of you day and night.
When I am awake I dream of you
and when I sleep I dream of you.
Oh, my poor heart ever depends on you
and without you my soul sadly wonders
like a motherless child
ever devoid of your love
wondering aimlessly through this sad world.
Oh, there is nothing I would not give
to gaze into your lovely eyes
and see the stars in your soul
shining back at me.
Oh, you are a creature made of love and beauty
the very heaven I long for.
Oh, if you can take me into your heart
I know I have found my soul's natural home.
Oh, you are in me!
In my blood, bone and flesh.
Oh, all the fibers of my brain
and all the fibers of my heart
and the fibers of all my being
and bound to you.
Oh I am filled with my love and longing for you
as deep and eternal as the endless blue sea.
Oh, bless this poor heart of mine
for I am as helpless before you as a blind beggar.
Oh, you could treat me so cruelly with your words
and slash and cut my soul.
Oh, I am beyond all pride!
that was striped away long ago.
Oh, I would lay upon my cross for you
and take into my body spikes for my hands
and spikes for me feat
and lashes hard upon my beak.
sharp things upon my back
that would cut me to the barest of bone
till the flesh hangs like torn rags
and the earth upon which I lay
drinks my blood to its very fill
till it can drink no more
and my tearsΒ Β flow unendingly.
Oh, the words that are beyond me!
words locked in my heart and soul.
Oh, how can this tongue ever tell
of all my love for you
of how I hold you dearly in my heart
and how my very being depends on you
and how my heart will ever beat for you.
