i said "ol' man river,
why dont' you take me for a turn",
he said "kid, you ain't got it in ya",

"i got a whole lotta heart,
and a hell of a fist,
i'll take ya down like a winner",

"c'mon then" and he unbuckled his belt,
"i ain't got no tolerance for fools",

i underestimated his kick,
over thought my bite,
only when my head hit the tar,
did i know i'd been schooled.
