I don't know how not to cry in my sleep
How to be what another sees
To do as others do
To not feel what others feel
To be as still as a day without a breeze

The touch that bruises
The one that burns
The teeth that clamp on my wrist
Seeping away all emotion
A rushing stream of red
Locking away the concept of
Love

A gentle touch
A drug for the soul
To allow another in
To see without fear
Shadowing my steps like a shade

To ask him to embrace
The darkness behind my eyes
Welling up like Stygian Night
Become the moon
Light the darkness
And allow me to dance
Once more
