Dragging

Many a days have passed

Since our eyes met last,

My heart you have, still

Don’t let go,

Don’t drag me along,

Mud, muck and leaves,

Scratched up knees,

Am I doing this to myself?

Am I rolling through,

Or is it you?

Don’t let go,

Lift me higher,

I want you,

You made me smile,

You made me laugh,

With you, I sweat joy

I cried happy,

Mud, muck and leaves,

Pick me back up please.
