The Colours of Her Tears

I once swam within your sweet almond eyes

And while we floated the stars burned to ice

Together we awaited our demise

The final notes were of our own device

But the Sun still shone when I closed your eyes

Upon lilies I laid your head to rest

The sand not yet spent, to us the glass lied

And each stolen moment lives in my breast

I once bathed in the sun upon crystal shores

With your gaze on my back, I lost my fear

Time's petals adorn us, still I want more

To live in all the colours of her tears.
