Stubborn as nails
Bent into oak

Feeling as if
I shouldn't have spoke

Wondering when
The tide would have broke

Hampered as always
Heaving this yolk

My ear in the forest
Hearing the croak

Of frogs leaping lightly
Hidden and cloaked

A once broken cycle
again has been stoked

Away from this dream
Is where I awoke

My long lost brother's
Name I'll evoke

In hearing his stories
Now turned to folk

The cedar is bent
But cannot be broke

As long as one breaths
It's incense as smoke
