I am the torn
And others I tore.
I am the scorned
And others I did scorn.
I am the *****
And I did ****.
I am the naked
Behind the cape.
I am the hated
And some I hate.
But I am loved
And by love I am saved
I was healed
And I helped some heal.
As I was loved,
I try to love
By some pulled down
While raised from above.
I am the sinner and the saint
The winner who always finishes late
The rejected and the accepted
The bewildered and the determined
The dying to live and the trying to breathe
The flesh on the outside, and the divine beneath.
I am the dirt
Shaped on the likeness of the Most high.
Breathed within an eternal soul
But as all men destined to die.
I am the touch of eternity
Cloaked in the sure mortality
Roaming the wilderness
Seeking a place to finally reside
Where with Love I can eternally confide
But till then, I will be whom I chose to be.
Whom I was meant to be.
The best I can ever be.
A human.
