Dec 2015
You’re more than the light I wait for at midnight
when we’re alone and apart
You make my voice heard
in this dead, dumb world
You are each sip of wholesome mint mélange
Never scorching, but smooth and cherished
Because of you, I realize myself
Through your indigo eyes I see everything we can be
Never blue, but like the azure sky,
where we search for our faith
in our futures, far or near
In hopes that perhaps our atoms will realign
so I’ll end up by your side
where our arms will interlock, our souls mesh
our hearts overflow
you’ll be mine, and I will be yours
