Dec 2015
i long to stand in front
of this son of mine
on his way to
twenty-nine

soon to be twenty eight
that i understand his fate

it would be a lie
to say i know the
date

to show him his cross to bear
to warn him of his silver hair
to protect him
would be my goal

free him of growin old

instead i hold him tight
an hug him with all my might

for he's got the time to see
the light.
i have called my son "BIG MAN" since day one.
he has called me his ole man for a long time
done the college thing in the army revs beautiful wife ,his very own life
i'm thrilled to be part of it.
