What Was It Like?
When will they know me?
I want them to feel the soft caress
The moment they lie still
I want her to know what it’s like to be killed
Under it all
I thought it was a message
Written in the stars
The cause was in the trees
You saw it
You saw me standing there
Glowing in the moonlight
Behind your eyes
You thought that…
Do you remember me?
The shade of blue that casts over you
In your eyes
I forgot the time
That it was
Not important
Now…
The time is too late
To remember your face
In front of mine
For an elaborate mind, it seemed
You were never there
Brushing away the webs from my staircase
Now the path has become a memory for me to venture down alone
Hand in hand with fate
A kiss on the cheek
This is a ****** up poetic ending
to the
reflection
on the water
A face once remembered in the sunset.
