Twenty-four karats,
she's twenty-four karats
priceless like the Mona Lisa
she's my water
and I, the desert
Her reflection is my blessing

Nuthin' is every what we expect
trippin' over myself
believing in things, that just wasn't true
My future, disappointed

as I tried, living happily without her
like a silly butterfly in a field of daisies
drawn away
blinded by bright colors and fragances
left empty as the sun goes down

yellow moon, horseshoe and four leaf clover can't help me now
shakin' with that ****** twitches
reaping what I sown
adieu
erring, chasing fools' gold
